Dean's message

Our Vision is clear - to be the pre-eminent global business school.  As someone who has been part of this community for many years, I know that this is not a remote aspiration.  Being global and pre-eminent reflects what we do here every day.  Our faculty are chosen from the best available and come from 32 countries.  They are recognised as authorities in their field by practitioners and by other academics.  Our students come from over 130 countries and are of the highest calibre.  Those who leave our degree programmes get jobs which repay - economically and in terms of fulfilment - their time spent at the School. They join our 28,000-plus alumni who are leaders in many fields. 

Being in central London has a huge influence on what we do.  It is a city which provides an ideal environment for our focus on pre-eminence and internationalism.  This is true not only of London as a financial centre, but as a vibrant community which has long welcomed people from all over the world (my own parents came here as refugees), and is now host to many thriving communities. 

All this means that those who come to work here or enrol in our programmes can be sure that they are part of a group which provides a range of experience which is both challenging and international and I look forward to welcoming those who join us while I am Dean.
